Let me start off by introducing myself; I am Loren and with my husband Allan Hoffman we are both
Forever Living Product Managers and your “Uplines”. Until recently we were both full time employees
of Forever Resorts South Africa, stationed at Blyde Canyon, A Forever Resort in Mpumalanga South
Africa, where Allan is the General Manager. After almost 27 years in the hospitality industry, I have been
blessed to be able to become a fulltime Network Marketing Professional, through Forever Living
Products.
We experience the success of Forever Living Products every single day of our lives. This is not only
because of the wonderful health benefits we get from using the amazing products on a daily basis, but
because we are part of a company that is part of the Forever Living Products group of companies.
Needless to say we owe our livelihoods to the yellow Aloe Vera bottle!
We have been blessed with 27 wonderful years together and two wonderful boys, Brogan and
Brandon. We have been in the Hospitality Industry most of our working lives and have worked together
for most of those years. Our careers on these resorts started back in 1989, and we have gone through
ownership and name changes over the years in our company, but nothing as profound as the day Rex
Maughan and Forever Living Products bought our company over in 2004. That is where our Forever
story started, well almost! When Rex took over the group and formed Forever Resorts South Africa, we
were introduced to Aloe Vera. I can clearly remember taking the bottle home, thinking that if this stuff
made him a billionaire, it must be awesome. I popped it into the fridge and the next morning poured
myself a generous portion and took a huge swallow! Man was I surprised, the stuff tasted awful! I
always thought Americans were crazy but after tasting that stuff I was convinced that they were!
Over the years, we used the products on and off, usually just as we would feel the benefits we would
stop and so it carried on. Being part of the resorts meant that we got to see Rex Maughan, RJay Lloyd,
and Dave Hall at least once a year when they did their site visit. We would host visitors from all over the
world sent by FLP on incentive trips at our resorts, and the things we observed repeatedly were, how
amazingly healthy these people looked and acted. What also had a lasting impression on us is that
these people are always genuinely friendly, honest, respectful and humble.
We eventually joined as FBO’s in late 2014, simply because we wanted to have the benefit
of being able to buy products at discounted prices. We thought that was our Why. Our true
Why became clear to us one morning when we received our retirement fund statements,
on doing a few quick calculations of what we had accumulated in retirement annuities,
policies and property in relation to the years we had left to actively contribute to our retirement fund, it
was clear we would have to find some source of income after we had both retired.
